I am Sharon Long and I am a kindergarten teacher at Smiley Elementary School. I love teaching and I am excited about my new group of kindergartners who have joined me this year in our Magical World of Learning. This is my 23rd year of teaching and this is my 19th year as a kindergarten teacher. I have also taught First Grade for 4 years!
I am married to Trent Long and we have one daughter, Kaitlyn, who is 22 and is a senior at The Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. She is studying to be an Civil Engineering just like her father! We also have two Scottish Terriers, Maggie and Annabelle, who are a part of our family! We are very fortunate to live out on Belvedere Island, where we feel like we are on vacation every day!
As I said before, I love teaching and I am looking forward to watching all my new special little friends learn and grow together as we share a Magical Year of Learning!
