We will be reviewing the long and short sounds of a and the consonant sounds of Tt, Cc and Pp.
Our sight words this week are ten, pink, is and so. We will also be reviewing see, we, a and to.
We are working very hard on learning to write a 5 Star Sentence using our sight words! It is an exciting time in our classroom as many students are working hard on putting the process of reading and writing together!
Math:
We are continuing to work on recognizing and understanding the teen numbers. We practice daily and our students must write the number in the correct order to be counted correct on work and tests. For example, if the answer is 16 and a child writes 61, it is incorrect. Please help us in encouraging our students in being aware of this! It is hard for them and we try to remind them that all teen numbers begin with 1!
Science:
We are learning the difference in living and non-living things and we are incorporating our unit on pumpkins. We will also be using pumpkins to learn about adjectives.
Federal Forms went home on Friday. We need a form on each student and the first 6 classes with all forms returned earn a pizza party! Please help us be the winner! :)

Friday, October 30 - Happy Trunk or Treating! Please wear appropriate costumes to school that day to have fun trick or tricking here at SES! We still need candy so if you can send in a bag or two, we would appreciate it!
